Winco’s 3410 Series windows hold prominence at Fort Carson Barracks
The 13th Combat Aviation Barracks at Fort Carson, Colorado, is a sight to behold! The 370,156 square-foot complex connects three H-shaped, four-story apartment buildings to a centralized entrance. The one-story glass pavilion leads to apartment living, as well as the sports and activity courtyard in the back.
The energy-efficient windows helped Fort Carson become an Army "Net Zero" installation, ensuring security for the 1,000 residents and staff was a priority. All apartments have Winco’s 3410 sliding window series installed with blast-resistant laminated glass.
The barracks achieve LEED Gold certification with multiple sustainable design features, including solar walls in the building façade, solar hot water panels, energy-efficient radiant floors for all apartments, and window openings with sunshades.
