Winco 4410 Series helps reinvent 30-story office skyscraper into mix-use complex
Winco played another key role in preserving history in New Orleans. Only this time instead of historic replication windows, Winco provided its sleek 4410 Series single-hung windows to help revive an original skyscraper. With clean lines and easy operability, the windows provide a modern feel to one of the first major office buildings in the city’s historic Central Business District.
Originally built in 1962, the 30-story building was left vacant after Hurricane Katrina. The building has been totally renovated into a mixed-use development featuring 188 rooms for the Aloft Hotel and nearly 3,600 sq. ft. of meeting space in six event rooms. The building also houses 192-apartment units, a 356-space public parking garage, a splash pool, fitness area, and its own WXYZ Bar with live local musicians.
